We want every one of these children to know we never forget them. What a better way than to send them a little “reminder” on the most special day of their lives? Their Birthday!!! For so many of these children, the simple occasion of another Birthday is something very meaningful and we want to make it even more special! We could sure use your HELP! We could use your help by sending us “little” sized gifts (we don’t have a lot of storage room here at The Butterfly Fund! ) Any kind of small gift such as a stuffed animal, a toy, a game, a gift card (for our older children) honestly, we would appreciate anything!! The Butterfly Fund family is ALL of you who follow us, support us and show us everyday that this world is FULL of kind and beautiful people! We can’t think of anyone better to share this Club with!!!

Here’s how you can participate and we sure hope you will! We cannot do this without your sweet HELP!!!
Here’s the Info for Our 2nd Secret Stocking Project starting right now!!
Right among us, there are children who suffer every single day.
The Butterfly Fund wants to give these children and their siblings a very merry Christmas this year and we would love for you to share it with us!
Each stocking contains a child’s very own wish list !

If you do live in the Sonoma, CA area, please visit Terri’s Hot Shots & Sandbox in Sonoma to pick up your stocking!
You may also drop off your gifts IMG_5031_27227 386286_349725465111960_747838592_n there as well!!

For everyone who does NOT live close by:
1. Write to us@ thebutterflyfund@gmail.com or message us here!
2. Tell us if you wish a Boy or Girl Stocking! (or even more than one!!)
3. We will give you 2 choices for both and you can choose which ones you would like to fulfill!
4. We’ll send the actual stocking to you!
5. You purchase the Gift/s on the wish list, wrap it and send it back to us! Please just make sure you put the child’s name on the gift (you can re-use the stocking for this!) and also make sure to tell us which gift you bought!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, only take a stocking if you wish to participate! We will need the gift/s back to us no later than December 2nd 2012!!

The Butterfly Fund did diligent research to find these children. We hand selected only the ones we felt were truly in need and would benefit most from this project. We had an enormous amount of families this year, so we had to do a lottery with the names. We have 46 families on our list this year!

These children fight every single day of their lives just to survive and sometimes their brothers and sisters fight right along with them. We know some of their “wish List” items can be pricey, but please realize that some of these children are severely handicapped or in the hospital most of the time and sometimes a hand held game is all they can handle.

What a beautiful thing to be able to give them a beautiful Christmas this year – thank you so much for opening your heart to care and to make a huge difference.
We cannot do this without your help and appreciate your help immensely!

The Stockings were all made over the last week complete with the child’s name and even a cute little embellishment!
This afternoon, she was in-putting all the data on the families and the children’s wish lists, and tonight she’s putting all the wishes inside the stockings!
Stay tuned!! We need your help to make this a beautiful Christmas for all of these 46 families and hundreds of children!

As many of you may know now, the Senior Project Board has denied this project for Emily due to the fact that I was to be her Mentor. We have decided to continue it any way and hopefully the petition we created at Change. org will convince the board to change their stubborn and silly minds.

My youngest daughter, Emily will be taking on this beautiful project for her Senior Project this year.
I am so proud of her and I know she will gain so much from being witness to such a beautiful thing. We cannot do this without your help though!
On November 1st, we will have “stockings” that include very special childrens (and their siblings as well) WISHES for a Christmas Gift. You decide if you wish a boy or girl and we will send you their stocking! You purchase the gift listed in the stocking, wrap it and send it back to us by Dec 1st, 2012! We will then box all the gifts up for the families and ship to them by Christmas! (The Butterfly Fund received a grant from Macy’s to cover all the shipping costs and we could not be more thankful or appreciative for their belief in this project!) Thinking of you, Megan, Travis and Chloe tonight with more love and HOPE than you can ever imagine~

This is for ALL the people here who may not know his story yet.
His story will be known in so many hearts for the rest of our lives. Tripp was born with the most severe form of EB and he bravely lived his little life until he couldn’t fight any longer. Tripp received his butterfly wings on Jan. 14th, 2012. Some people touch your heart, some people completely over take it…Little Tripp was one of those people and I see it only fitting to honor him this Valentine’s Day~
